LYNN EVANS FOR IOWA

STATE SENATOR - EDUCATOR - COMMUNITY LEADER

Why I'm Running

I’m considering a run for Congress because this district – Northwest Iowa – has shaped who I am. I was born in Centerville and raised in Aurelia, where I still live today. This isn’t just where I’m from – it’s who I am. It’s where I learned the value of hard work, faith, and community. The people here are honest, resilient, and fiercely independent. We don’t ask for much – just a fair shot, a level playing field, and leaders who won’t sell us out.

I’ve spent my entire career serving others – as a teacher, coach, principal, superintendent, and now as a State Senator. I’ve seen the challenges we face: declining school enrollment, overregulation hurting farmers, and rural hospitals barely hanging on. But I’ve also seen the strength of our people. I represent much of this region in the Iowa Senate, and I’ve never lost sight of what matters most – standing up for families, protecting local control, and securing a future for our kids right here at home.

This decision isn’t about politics – it’s about people. Iowans deserve a representative who knows what it’s like to live in rural Iowa, attend Friday night football games, help during harvest, and worship together on Sunday mornings. We don’t need more career politicians who cave to the Washington establishment. We need someone who shares our values, listens, and fights like hell for what’s right. That’s the kind of representative I intend to be.

I’ll proudly stand with President Donald J. Trump as we fight the radical left and their dangerous, out-of-touch agenda. The woke policies coming out of Washington are eroding our freedoms and attacking the values we hold dear. From indoctrination in schools to reckless spending and open borders, the far-left has declared war on rural America. Enough is enough. I’ll never back down from a fight to defend our values, protect the Constitution, and restore common sense to our country. Our district deserves a warrior in Washington – and I’m ready to answer that call.
